The Impala was produced from 1958-1985, 1994-1996, and 2000 until this day and it was the most expensive car in Chevrolet lineup until 1965 also the best selling car in the U.S
The first generation came in 1958 and was the highest trim level on the full size Chevrolet cars then the Bel Air and Biscayne, it was designed by Joseph R. Schemansky with only two body style a coupe and convertible, it was based on GM’s X frame but the wheelbase is longer than the Bel Air, it has a gorgeous design with a sculptured tail fins with six taillights, it had two engine choices the standard was a 283 V8 with 185 to 290 hp depends on if it has a fuel injection and the optional is a 348 with 315 hp
Total production in 1958 is 181,469 and the convertible are 55,989, as for the price now it can reach to more than 100 thousand USD
